Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance Locates at TBIP | Posted 08/17/2010

Tinker Business & Industrial Park (TBIP) is pleased to welcome the Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance and SpiritBank as one of the first tenants to the newly renovated Aerospace Collaboration and Partnership Center (ACPC).

“The presence of the Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance in the ACPC is significant, in that it locates the statewide trade association for aerospace among the largest concentration of aerospace companies in our state,” said Warren Thomas, TBIP Managing General Partner. “We are delighted that they have chosen the Aerospace Collaboration and Partnership Center.”

The Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance (OAA) is a non-profit trade organization, founded in 2006. Originally started with state funding, the OAA was operated under the auspices of the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission, until 2009. Since that time, the OAA has been underwritten by SpiritBank and is managed by , a SpiritBank loaned executive who serves as OAA Executive Director.

Also in 2009, the OAA took over the production responsibilities of the annual Oklahoma Aerospace Summit and Expo. In addition, the OAA assists with the dissemination of information pertaining to legislation impacting the Oklahoma aerospace industry, and maintains an Oklahoma aerospace industry database online at www.okaero.com.

The Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance is governed by a 13-member board of directors, representing the many diverse aspects of Oklahoma’s military and commercial aerospace industry. of American Airlines currently serves as the OAA board chair.
